Chinese Red Tea is a fully-oxidised tea.
There are 3 main types of red tea:
Gong Fu Red Tea, Souchong Red Tea and Broken Leaves Red.
The name of it is very special by local accent which is also called “ Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong” in Chinese PinYin.
Lapsan, means inner mountain, Souchong, means small leaves.
Souchong Red Tea: small leaves and mainly indicates red tea from Wuyi Mt.
We regard Souchong Red Tea as the originator of Red Tea which had been discovered around 400 years ago. After it had been exported to Europe from the early 17th century, it became popular immediately in the British royal family and even the whole of Europe, and set off the “afternoon tea” fashion that has been passed down to now.
This Golden Eyebrow is the top level of None smoky lapan souchong from TongMuGuan, Wuyi Mt., which is just using the single tips from tea trees to produce this delicate souchong red tea.
