DongGuo Single Tree 懂过古树单株


This “Dong-Guo” single old tree tea is highly representative in the MY Teahouse. It can be considered as one of Raymond MAO’s stepping stone when he first entered the world of Puerh tea. This was Raymond MAO’s first encounter with Yunnan single old tree Puerh tea. The  600 years old tea tree had made 4.3kg of raw puerh tea in the spring of 2013 and 3.7kg in 2012.  It was stored in loose form in Sydney until 2022 when Raymond MAO personally compressed it into disc. Therefore, the label shows 2013/2022. It has a sweet taste, a unique aroma, and a rich tea essence.

Puerh is a city used to be the tea distribution centre of the Yunnan Province. As time went by, we regarded the tea from Puerh City as Puerh Tea.

Puerh Tea is a post-fermented tea, there are two types of Puerh Tea:
1) Raw Puerh (naturally fermented)
2) Cooked/Ripe Puerh (process fermented)

DongGuo village is located in the North-West of the puerh tea area, which is in ShuangJiang District of LinCang City.  DongGuo is just few km from Ice Island village.

Single tree tea means the tea leaves are only from this single tree, so the tea taste must be very pure and powerful.
