Puerh is a city that used to be the tea distribution centre of the Yunnan Province. As time went by, we regarded the tea from Puerh City as Puerh Tea.
Puerh Tea is a post-fermented tea, there are two types of Puerh Tea:
1) Raw Puerh (naturally fermented)
2) Cooked/Ripe Puerh (process fermented)
LaoHaiTang is located in the ZhenYuan District in the north-east of the puerh tea area. ZhenYuan district is regarded as the home town of wild tea trees. One of the oldest ( 2700+years old )wild tea tree has been found in this area.
This LaoHaiTang raw puerh has been stored naturally in Puerh City from 2006 for 10 years and has been kept in MY Teahouse in Sydney from 2016. The weather in both Sydney and Puerh City is very similar, so the tea discs have had a very good environment for ageing.
