Puerh is a city used to be the tea distribution centre of the Yunnan Province. As time went by, we regarded the tea from Puerh City as Puerh Tea.
Puerh Tea is a post-fermented tea, there are two types of Puerh Tea:
1) Raw Puerh (naturally fermented)
2) Cooked/Ripe Puerh (process fermented)
LaoManE village is located in the South-West of the puerh tea area in MengHai district, in the centre of BuLang Mountain. This village has more than 1300 years of tea making history. Most of the tea trees in LaoManE village are from 100~500 years old, and both sweet tea leaves and bitter tea leaves may grow in the same tea field. More than half of LaoManE tea leaves are bitter, so sometimes tea farmers mix them together.
LaoManE old tree raw puerh from MY Teahouse are all picked from sweet tea leaves in the mountain.
