Description
1200+ Years Ancient Hybrid Tree Pu-erh Tea
From the mountains of Baiying Shan in Lincang, Yunnan, this distinctive Pu-erh comes from ancient hybrid tea trees more than 1,200 years old, formed through the natural pollination of wild and cultivated tea populations.
These trees first emerged during the Tang Dynasty, one of the great cultural golden ages of China. It was during this period that tea culture flourished and began its journey beyond China. As Japanese monks travelled across the sea to study Buddhism, literature, and tea, these trees were already quietly growing in the mountains.
Over twelve centuries of natural development, the interaction between wild vitality and cultivated refinement has created a lineage of remarkable balance and complexity.
The tea offers clarity, structure, and depth, unfolding with patience rather than intensity. Its character is shaped by harmony rather than extremes.
More than an ancient tree, it stands as a living reminder of the cultural exchanges that helped shape the tea traditions of East Asia.
